For the baby:

  • The joints of the embryo have already been developed, including wrists and ankles.
  • The nervous system of your baby has started to meet many of the embryo’s demands and many of his/her vital organs have started functioning.
  • The embryo’s heart has gotten its final shape.
  • The nose and eyes of your baby are more clearly distinguishable.
  • The eyes remain closed and will not open until enough time passes.
