Pregnancy Calendar - 29th Week
- Begin the preparatory exercises for pregnant women that combat possible pain around the waist.
- The psychoprophylaxis, painless childbirth exercises can greatly help the correct managing of normal childbirth.
For the mother:
- The pace of prenatal examinations will now increase and you will visit your doctor every two weeks, in order to monitor your pregnancy with even more detail.
For the baby:
- The brain of the fetus grows rapidly and the soft bones of the cranium lengthen to accommodate growth.
- The fetus is able to make various expressions.
- The surface of the brain of the fetus gradually becomes uneven, as folds and hollows are being formed.
- The fetus in the womb sleeps most of the time, but when he/she wakes up, regardless of the space constraints; he/she may push you and kick you several times during the day.
- Even when the baby sleeps, the brain works, and sometimes his/her eyes react with small quick reflexes.
- The size of the fetus (head-tail distance) reaches now, approximately, 26cm, and it weighs about 1.250 grams.
