Pregnancy Calendar - 30th Week
- You need to plan the third ultrasound check which gives information about the baby's growth and the condition of the placenta.
- Rest during the day and go to bed early. Even if you do not sleep, your body relaxes.
For the mother:
- You may notice that you need to urinate more frequently now, as your uterus begins expanding again pressuring your bladder.
For the baby:
- The embryo continues to deposit fat, thus becoming obese and less wrinkly.
- The fetus’s hearing is intensified.
- The fetus has as many neural circuits as the amount present when born.
- The skeleton of the fetus is still growing stronger, with growth continuing in the brain and muscles and lungs.
- There is still little space in the womb so the fetus can bring the soles of his feet to his/her face.
- The size of the fetus (head-tail distance) now reaches approximately 27cm and weighs about 1.360 grams.
