- Due to the increased weight and the discomfort that you feel it is necessary to breathe as much as possible and when you sit down put your feet on a footrest.

For the mother:
- The placenta, the amniotic fluid, the swollen breasts and the uterus along with the expansion of the blood volume and the storage of fat, protein and fluids in your body are clear causes for the excess weight.
For the baby:
- The fetus sleeps 90-95% of the day. But blinks when he/she is awake.
- The arms, legs and body of the embryo continue to gain weight and are now in proportion to the head. The fetus is now able to perform vigorous movements.
- Now we can identify rapid eye movements, associated with dreaming.
- The fetus makes breathing movements, although it takes in only amniotic fluid.
- All the senses of the fetus are fully developed. The embryo can hear, see, taste, smell and touch. The genital organs are also developed.
- The size of the fetus (head-tail distance) now reaches about 29cm and weighs approximately 1.800 grams.
